Rubber crumb is employed fairly extensively in rubber compounds basically for the production of general-purpose goods.The reason for the limited use of rubber crumb as an elatic filler for rubbers is the reduction in their elatic strength properties.One way of improving these properties is to modify the rubber crumb so as to increase the bond strength at the point of contact between the crumb particle and the rubber matrix [1].
