North American Investment Casting Sales Increase About 6% in 2012; Growth Expected to Continue in Coming Year

In 2012, most investment casters in North America experienced higher sales. Quite a few foundries enjoyed double digit increases over the previous year. Overall, investment cast sales grew approximately 6% over 2011. As forecasted, the growth was primary attributable to increases in commercial aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, and a modest increase in overall industrial production.
