摘要

This article provides a comprehensive theoretical treatment of the interaction between an arbitrarily located and oriented crack and a bimaterial interface under antiplane loading. The analysis is based upon the use of an integral transform method and a self-consistent iterative (SCI) technique. The resulting singular integral equations are solved, using Chebyshev polynomials, to provide closed form expressions for the stress distribution along the interface and the stress intensity factor at the crack. Typical examples are provided to show the effect of the location and orientation of the crack and the material combination upon the interfacial stress distribution and the stress intensity factor of the crack.
