Although the construction of pipe jacking has a comparatively long history, the design of the pipe wall thickness is rarely studied. The main reason for this lies in the fact that the state of the forces on the pipeline is complicated and the control of construction conditions is not easy. So the design of the pipe wall thickness, to a great extent, remains at a set level of experience with the use of traditional formulae. Identifying reasonable values for the pipe wall thickness is closely related to reducing project investment and ensuring project safety. Therefore, the research in this field is of great importance.
