A Discussion of Several Approaches for the Future Based on Previous Studies of Metastatic Bone Tumors

Introduction and Materials and Methods: Cancer has been studied in Japan, but the importance of further study is also probably apparent. Focusing on metastatic tumors, this report reviews tests to detect and treatments for bone metastasis. This report also discusses approaches for the future based on scientific studies of the current state of those tests and treatments.Review and Conclusion: Imaging and measurement of N-telopeptide of type I collagen (NTX) in urine are used to detect bone metastasis. This report focuses on treatment of bone metastasis through surgery, radiation therapy, and medication. Early diagnosis and treatment of metastatic bone tumors is crucial. Also crucial is further coordinated study of metastatic bone tumors in medicine and related fields.
