EDITORIAL: GREAT ACHIEVEMENT TO THE FIELD OF MICROSCALE AND NANOSCALE THERMAL AND FLUID SCIENCES OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS AND FUTURE DEVELOPMENT

Five years have gone since I founded the International Journal of Microscale and Nanoscale Thermal and Fluid Transport Phenomena (IJMNTFTP) in 2010. It has provided an important vehicle to disseminate research and knowledge in relevant research topics on microscale and nanoscale thermal and fluid sciences. It is great success and achievement for the past five years. As the founder and Editor-in-Chief, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the editorial board members for their great support to the IJMNTFTP. I am also grateful to all researchers and scientists who have been supporting/reviewing and publishing their research papers in our journal over the past years. I am very pleased to see the great success, achievement and development of IJMNTFTP. However, decision has been made to cease the journal from next year. This is not the end of story as a new book series will be formed from next year. We are transferring the IJMNTFTP to a book series entitled "Microscale and Nanoscale Thermal and Fluid Sciences" (MNTFS) in 2015. I will serve the editor of the brand new book series and continue to do my best to contribute to the dissemination of new research and knowledge at microscale and nanoscale. This is such new exciting book series following up the IJMNTFTP. It is my greatest wish to make the new book series MNTFS a leading series in the field of microscale and nanoscale thermal and fluid sciences. It is also aimed to facilitate new interdisciplinary research to the new series as well. We are now in the right track to continue achieving our ambitious aims. I look forward to receiving more support and contribution to the new book series from our community.
