Nigerian Rebels Attack Chevron Well, Reject Truce

Nigeria's rebel Niger Delta Avengers group on Wednesday snubbed an offer of talks with the federal government to end its attacks on oil and gas facilities in the southern Niger Delta and claimed to have blown up a Chevron oil well near Warri. The latest strike on Chevron's RMP20 oil well, 20 meters away from the Dibi flow station in Delta state, follows a spate of recent attacks, including an assault on two more of Chevron's oil wells on the Dibi field.
