Des identites qui se cherchent... Apports des industries lithiques a la question de Vorigine du Magdalenien moyen dans le Sud-Ouest europeen

In South-Western Europe, analysis of final Pleniglacial lithic assemblages participates in the characterization of various chronological, techno-economical and territorial identities. This work provides data concerning the transition between the Early and Middle Magdalenian in this region. Studies of archaeological sequences such as Saint-Germain-La-Riviere (Gironde, France), Gandil (Tarn-et-Garonne, France) or Ekain VII (the Basque region, Spain) allow the variability of the early Magdalenian to be appreciated and several scenarios for the "Magdalenisation" process to be suggested. At the dawn of the Late Glacial, techno-economical contrasts of lithic assemblages imply changes in production systems and the mobility of human groups.
