KRG rejigs Kirkuk flows over quality issue

Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan government has suspended co-blending of heavy Shaikan crude into the region's Kirkuk export blend, citing the need to maintain the quality of its key export grade, the field's operator Gulf Keystone said Thursday. Until further notice, crude from the Shaikan field in the north of Iraq will be not be injected into the export stream to the Turkish Mediterranean port of Ceyhan from the end of the month, Gulf Keystone said, following an order from the Kurdistan Regional Government.
