Knorr-Bremse acquires Vossloh Kiepe

Germany - The Munich-based braking systems specialist, Knorr-Bremse Group is acquiring Vossloh Kiepe GmbH of Dusseldorf - the Electrical Systems unit of rail infrastructure provider Werdohl-based Vossloh AG. The two companies have signed an agreement to this effect. The move strengthens Knorr-Bremse's portfolio with the addition of state-of-the-art drive technology for rail and commercial vehicles and enables further expansion and connectivity of its sub-systems and is designed to generate added value for vehicle builders and operators. The transaction is subject to approval by the anti-trust authorities.
