The main purpose of this project is to provide a secure authentication device for an individual Authorization of legal users into a system. However, traditional biometrics systems which commonly use behavioral biometrics have shown serious drawbacks, violating two of the main requirements of a reliable biometrics, namely permanence and circumvention. More specifically, this project proposes a preliminary study related to the identification of individuals via wavelet transform of cardiac sounds. The results, obtained using a database containing several number of one's heart sound recordings patterns from an individual confirm the biometric properties of PCG signals identification, which can thus be included among the physiological signs used by an automatic identification system.
