RESPONSES OF CORN (ZEA MAYS) TO IN VITRO INOCULATION WITH TOXIC METABOLITES OF COLLETOTRICHUM GRAMINICOLA

摘要

Phytotoxic metabolites of Colletotrichum graminicola induced necrotic lesion on maize inbred line 1787. The seven maize inbred lines used reacted differently to the induction of necrotic lesion by the toxic metabolites. Based on these responses 5 maize inbreds: 5057, 1787, 9030, 1201 and 5012 were categorized as susceptible while 9450 and Ku 1414 were categorized as moderately susceptible and resistant respectively.
