An investigation was carried out at the Research Farm of Floriculture Division and Landscaping, IARI, New Delhi to maximize the growth, flowering and yield of gladiolus corm cv. White prosperity with the application of Azospir ilium, FSB, Vermicompostand FYM with 100%, 75% and 50% recommended dose ofNPK. For getting more quantity of flowers farmers are using chemical fertilizers unscrupulously, which are costly and create threat to soil health, ultimately health hazards to human beings and also pollutes soil and water bodies. But, this is not sustainable approach, instead it is fiery to get more flower and corm yield. So, there is a need to develop sustainable production system, wherein chemical fertilizers can be minimized by using alternative sources of nutrients. Among the different agro-technology, nutrient management is one of the prime considerations for getting higher yield of any crop. Keeping the above said facts in view, the present investigation has been planned to study the response ofbio-fertilizers, FYM and their combined application with different levels of inorganic fertilizers in gladiolus. The average result oftivo year data showed that plant height, number offlorets per spike, yield of corm and number ofcormels per plant recorded maximum with the application of 75% RDF + lkg/m~2 FYM + 300 g/m~2 Vermicompost; wlvereas components like length of leaf, length of spike, length ofrachis, number of tillers per plant, normal vase life and yield of spike were influenced by the application of 75% RDF +lkg/m~2 FYM + 300 g/m~2 Vermicompost + 2 g/plant each of Azospirrilum and PSB. Florets per spike remain open at a time, diameter of floret and yield of cormels per plant were found maximum with the application of 50 RDF + 1 kg/m~2 FYM. The components like weight of single corm (54.66 g), number of corms/plant (2.84) and number of leaves(7.83) per plant were recorded maximum with the application of 50 % RDF + 1 kg/m~2 FYM+ 300 g/m~2 Vermicompost.
