British Society of Scientific Glassblowers 2104 Symposium

Over one hundred delegates attended this event which was held in The Capital Hotel, Edinburgh from September 4th until the 6th. Many visitors added days to their stay as they had travelled from USA, Canada, Europe and Australia and wished to savour the delights that Edinburgh and Scotland are proud to offer. Bailie Elaine Aitkin Representing the City of Edinburgh opened the symposium, encouraging all to participate in the Edinburgh "experience". The Bailie added that she hoped to learn more about scientific glassblowing and a good start was made by touring the exhibition area. Representatives from Enterprise Q Ltd, Erodex (UK) Ltd, GPE Scientific Ltd, Jepson Bolton & Co, Schott UK Ltd, Scilabware Ltd, Smith Scientific Ltd and Tokai Carbon Europe Ltd eagerly demonstrated their products. The winner of the Exhibitors Award, selected by the Bailie was GPE Scientific Ltd.
