USA/Europe - Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana, USA has confirmed Euro 6 engine compatibility for use with Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) renewable diesel and other EN 15940 Paraffinic fuels for the European markets. Compared with conventional fossil-based diesel, HVO offers the potential to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by between 40 and 90 over the total life cycle of the fuel, dependent on the level of sustainable feedstock used in the production process.
