RB(4)YBL(6) SYNTHESIS AND CRYSTAL STRUCTURE

The divalent rare earth compound-Rb4YbI6 was prepared by a one-step method. Using X-ray powder diffraction data, its crystal structure has been determined and refined by the Rietveld technique to R(wp)=11.1 by isotype with compound Cs4PbBr6.
