摘要

A crystal of Nd3+:Sr6GdSc(BO3)(6) with the dimension of phi20 x 30 mm(3) was grown by Czochralski method. The grown crystal was characterized by X-ray diffraction and DSC analysis. The DSC analysis showed that the crystal congruently melt at 1306.7degreesC. The absorption and emission spectra of Nd3+:Sr6GdSc(BO3)(6) were investigated. The absorption band at 806 nm has a FWHM of 13 nm. The absorption and emission cross-sections are 2.33 x 10(-20), cm(2) at 806 nm and 1.58 x 10(-19) cm(2) at 1062 nm, respectively. The luminescence lifetime tau(f) is 75 mus at room temperature. (C) 2004 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
