摘要

Two new ternary intermediate phases in the Pd-Ni-P system have been synthesized and the crystal structures have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. PdNi2P crystallizes in the MgCuAl2-type structure with the unit cell parameters a = 3.4708(3) Angstrom, b = 8.4437(8) Angstrom, c = 6.6083(5) Angstrom, Z = 4, space group Cmcm. Pd8Ni31P16 is tetragonal with the unit cell parameters a = 14.9375(4) Angstrom and c = 5.8071(3) Angstrom, Z = 2, space group P4(2)mc. The unit cell contains 110 atoms distributed on 12 crystallographic non-equivalent positions. This does not correspond to any previously reported structure. (C) 2003 Elsevier Inc.
