摘要

Explored were the SiAlON-based hetero-modulus ceramic composites (HMCCs) containing different amounts of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) as obtained by combustion synthesis. The main factors affecting the density and phase composition of synthesized SiAION—BN composites were revealed experimentally. The synthesized machinable SiAlON—BN composites exhibited excellent resistance to thermal shock and metallurgical melts along with good tribological characteristics.
