摘要

We characterized the fracture distribution in the reactor foundations of UNIT 1 and UNIT 2 of the third Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant. Owing to the uncertain characteristics of the fractures, the theory of stochastic processes was employed to study its distribution patterns. The fractures have two main group strikes, with directions N44 deg W and N40 deg E in UNIT 1, and N5 deg W and N85 deg E in UNIT 2. Statistical results show that the mean spacing of the fractures in UNIT 1 and UNIT 2 are 519mm and 426mm, respectively. On the basis of the fracture attitude, width, spacing, and their length, the fracture network was simulated by means of the Monte Carlo method. The probability distribution of the fractures was deduced, the distribution of fracture spacing obeys the logarithmic normal distribution. Different lithology, the fracture attitude and spacing are also different. Using the results of the statistics and simulation, we can provide a scientific basis for nuclear power station construction in the future.
