Haematological and some biochemical values in indigestion in buffaloes.

Selected haematological and biochemical parameters were determined in blood samples from 15 Nili-Ravi buffaloes with indigestion presented to various veterinary clinics in Faisalabad, Pakistan. 15 healthy buffaloes were controls. There were no significant differences in erythrocyte and leukocyte counts, packed cell volume and haemoglobin concentration between healthy and diseases buffaloes. In diseased buffaloes, relative neutrophil count was significantly higher (43.2?.84%) and relative lymphocyte (49.13?.75%) and eosinophil (2.53?.74%) counts were significantly lower compared with healthy buffaloes (33.2?.84, 58.4?.21 and 3.27?.8%, respectively). Blood glucose, urea and total bilirubin concentrations were significantly higher in buffaloeswith indigestion (86.00?.89, 48.33?.63 and 1.76?.49 mg/dl) than in healthy buffaloes (59.42?.94, 32.86?.70 and 0.85?.11 mg/dl, respectively).
