West Madura block to start normal output by January

Jakarta-South Korea’s Kodeco Energy is expected to resume full production from its West Madura block offshore East Java by January next year after an accident in August forced the company to shut one of the block’s platforms, an official with Indonesia’s upstream regulator BPMigas said October 18. A container ship hit platform KE40, one of Kodeco’s 14 production platforms in the block, causing it to tilt by 40 degrees and also damaged some of other facilities including dock and hand rails (ON 8/17).
