CHEMTRADE LOGISTICS Income Fund has entered into an agreement with Rhodia Inc. for spent acid regeneration services to cover the start-up period of its Beaumont, Texas plant. The 1,000t/d Beaumont facility processes spent acid for oil refineries and chemical operations, and has been offline since an explosion in August 2008 (FW online, 22 August 2008). The unit is undergoing repairs. However, these have taken longer than originally expected due to more time than anticipated needed to submit and receive permits from regulatory authorities for the rebuilding work, Chemtrade said in earlier statements (FW Online, 7 October 2008).
