Effectiveness of quality work life balance programmes: employees' perceptions

The concept of work-life quality is increasingly relevant in enabling positive employee engagement with the demands of work and family. This paper explores employees' perception of the effectiveness of work-life quality programmes in a healthcare organisation in Singapore. The findings provide useful insight into the tensions and dilemmas experienced by the users of the work-life quality programmes. The paper argues that the implementation of work-life quality programmes contribute constructively to the overall quality management movement in organisations.
