Influence of probiotic and stocking density on body weight, blood haematology and thyroid hormones in broiler chicks

With increasing concerns about antibiotic resistance, alternative growth promoters become very important for poultry feeding and production. A great attention also goes to bird's floor space to economically optimise stocking density. Recently, probiotics have been suggested as a natural replacement for antibiotics. In the current study, we investigate the effect of three probiotic dietary levels under two different stocking densities on blood haematology and concentrations of plasma thyroid hormonesin broiler chicks.
