This study used a double-blind, randomized, inira-palicni. paired design to tesl the hypothesis that an aery hue terpolymer alcohol-free barrier film reduces the degree of radiation skin reaction compared with the 10% glycerine cream most commonly used for this purpose in Australia. No significant difference was found using this rigorous trial design, to which few skin care products are subjected. Moist desquamation remains common in post-mastectomy patients, and other skin care products should be evaluated in this way.
