Infrared drying is replacing pre-treatment of reclaimed material on PET injection stretch blow lines,according to UPM Machinery Sales.The dryer is mounted directly over the feed throat feeding crystallised and dried regrind/virgin material blends with a drying time of 12 minutes to achieve a final moisture content of 50 ppm (0.005 per cent).
