Opening the door to innovation in lightweighting technology

Reducing weight by approximately 22 percent and improving crash performance, leading global automotive supplier, Magna International, used ARPRO to develop a complete new door panel carrier for the BMW i8. The vehicle's upward swinging doors are a visual highlight, so consequently the structure of the panel required a strong, yet lightweight, material to ensure the doors met the demands for both performance and aesthetics.
