OneLNG Expands Equatorial Guinea Role

Equatorial Guinea is making further efforts to monetize stranded gas assets by recruiting OneLNG, the joint venture of Golar LNG and Schlumberger, to look at a second floating LNG project. OneLNG, which is already working with Ophir Energy to develop Fortuna FLNG on Block R with a final investment decision expected this year, has struck an agreement with the government to look at gas development options for Blocks I and O, OneLNG confirmed Wednesday (IOD May3’17).
