STEADY GROWTH IN PAN-EUROPEAN PLASTICS RECOVERY BUT MARKED DIFFERENCES IN NATIONAL STRATEGIES

Each year the associations representing the interests of European plastics producers and processors - PlasticsEurope, EuPC, EuPR and EPRO - produce a report on trends in production, demand and recovery of plastics called The Compelling Facts About Plastics. As could be expected, there is no major difference year on year between the sets of statistics, but they show two trends, a gradual increase in the volume of plastics usage and an increase in the proportion of those plastics that are being recycled in one form or another.
