More than POUND1 million has been spent by Richard Sankey on a Sandretto Mega HESD 2,000 tonne machine and two tools,each weighing more than 20 tonnes,to manufacture Ecomax refuse bins in HDPE at the rate of 1,000 a day on a 24/7 basis.The bins will be made in 240 and 140 litre sizes.Sankey believes that it can undercut the cost of imported bins and gain a significant share of the market in a short time.
