Epidemiology of skin infections in dogs in Western Uttar Pradesh

A survey of skin diseases in dogs was conducted in seven Government Veterinary Hospitals spread in four districts of Western Uttar Pradesh for a period of one year (from September, 1996 to August, 1997). The data were collected and analysed, which revealed that out of a total of 7873 cases during the period, skin ailments accounted for 16.0 per cent morbidity (1252 cases).
