The paper gives a bibliographical review of thefinite element methods (FEMs) applied to the creepfracture/damage of engineering materials and structures from thetheoretical as well as practical points of view. The addedbibliography at the end of the paper contains 964 references topapers, conference proceedings and theses/dissertations on thesubject that were published between 1980-1999. These areclassified in the following categories: materials, topics, and areasof applications.
