Part I of this study covered the matrix and pocessibility studies to establish the feasibility of a non-CVD process for manufacturing high performance C-C composites. Part II of this study covers the overview of Carbonization and Graphitizations investigations that ultimately led to a satisfactory product in processing times that were more than an order or magnitude shorter than those of typical CVD processes.
