GE Advanced Materials has developed a silicone surfactant that helps to reduce the use of flame retardants in flexible polyurethane slabstock foam.The new product extends the company's existing NIAX brand line of surfactants that,while not themselves inherently flame retardant,demonstrate improved foam flame retardancy in small scale combustibility tests.
