Electrophoretic behaviour of Mycobacterium paratuberculosis soluble protein antigens in rocket immuno-electrophoresis

Immuno-electophoretic behaviour of native antigens of M. paratuberculosis (strain TEPS) has been Studied using hyperimmune goat sera in rocket immuno-electrophoretic technique. As good as 8 native proteins have produced precipitin peaks and found tobe antigenic. Precipitin peaks were not typical rocket like rather more blunt having rounded end. This technique was found to be satisfactorily good both as a qualitative and quantitative test and can fairly detect antigenic components of complex mycobacterial proteins.
