摘要

For scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis, Al-Sm powder samples were mounted in epoxy. Epoxy surfaces were cut using a serial micromilling cutter which eliminates grinding and polishing steps. Samples were etched with Keller's reagent (2.5 ml HNO_3, 1.5 ml HCl, 1 ml HF, 95 ml H_2O). For transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis, Al-Sm powders were mixed with epoxy and mechaBically thinned using a Dimpler. They were then thinned by ion milling to perforation.
