The Australian and New Zealand Orthopaedic Nurses Association with deep sadness wishes to announce to the ICON community the sudden and heartbreaking death of Anne Gilbey. Anne was tragically killed in a hit and run accident on the early morning of 2nd July. No doubt taking one of her much loved runs. Anne was a well-respected member of ANZONA and our current President-Elect. She had a great passion for orthopaedics and promoting the unique knowledge and skill set of the orthopaedic nurse. This was evident in her contribution to the muscu-loskeletal network established through NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation, her recent appointment as Fracture Liaison Coordinator for the Local Health District and her current studies toward being an Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner.
