This work emphasizes on the analysis of transient heat conduction through fins. Exact solutions are assessed with results obtained by quasi steady theory. The exact local and mean temperature distributionhave been obtained by numerical technique methods. Exact solutions aregiven for thetransient temperatureinflux-basefinswith the methodof Green's functions (GF) in the form of infinite series for three differenttip conditions. The time of convergence is improved by replacing the series part. Forthelong fincase, exact and quasi steady fin solutionare presented in graphical forms. Programmed solutions are determined for analysis of both exact fin theory and quasi steady theory. Dimensionless temperature distribution is also presented.
