Hybrid composites, having short jute and short carbon fibers as reinforcement in polypropylene matrix with different fiber contents are prepared using injection molding technique. Keeping matrix content constant as 60wt %, jute and carbon fibers are varied by weight percentages as 40:00, 35:05, 30:10, 25:15 and 20:20. Tensile, flexural, impact and hardness tests are conducted on specimens and the results obtained are presented graphically. It is found that tensile, flexural, impact and Shore-D hardness properties increased with increase in carbon fiber content by an appreciable value. Scanning Electron Microscopy photographs at 500 X are also considered for the fractured or cracked specimens during testing for analysis. Relevant conclusions are presented.
