In this paper we study boson stars made up of real scalar lambda phi(4) self-interacting fields at finite temperature. For the reason of their equation of state, we call these configurations "precarious stars." The equation of state for these stars follows from the Gaussian approximation applied to real scalar lambda phi(4) self-interacting fields. We numerically calculate these configurations in the frame of general relativity. We obtain masses, radii, surface temperatures and other characteristics. After a numerical analysis of the thermal radiation emitted from their surface, we conclude that these stars radiate rapidly all their energy and mass. Nevertheless, we raise the question of the role these configurations may have played in formation of the large scale structures of the Universe. [References: 15]
