To the Editor.-In response to the article in the July-September 2006 issue.1 we note with concern that the article misrepresents the true facts surrounding the profile of asbestos as it relates to causation of disease and in particular, the misrepresentation of facts and lack of understanding of the nature and characteristics of chrysotile fiber. The tone of the article appear to be one led by anti-chrysotile people who seem to lack full comprehension of issues around chrysotile fiber. We believe that there is certainly lack of objectivity and coherence in articulating the subject of chrysotile asbestos in the Bailer et al. article.
