Sabic resin helps Ford achieve top marks for safety

Automaker Ford Motors has earned a five-star rating from the independent safety organisation Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Program) with help from a resin from Sabic.The Xenoy iQ resin from Sabic's Innovative Plastics strategic business unit has been used for the pedestrian safety system of Ford's 2011 C-MAX multipurpose vehicle, which features a lower leg protector and undertray design to minimise injury in case of impact.
