New GP Continuing Professional Development groups

Going out into the world as a new CP can be both exciting and daunting. More than in any other speciality, you are out there on your own from day 1 as an independent practitioner. Working as part of a supportive practice team can help but sometimes it can be beneficial to have an external support network which is independent of the place where you work. As we approached the end of CP training, one of my friends from the speciality training programme suggested that a few of us set up a small Continuing Professional Development (CPD) group which would offer peer support and be a good forum for educational activity.
