He's Energy Balance Method for Nonlinear Oscillators with Discontinuities

摘要

In this paper, a reliable technique for calculating angular frequencies of non-linear oscillators is developed. We show that the energy balance method is very effective and convenient and does not require linearization or small perturbation. Some illustrative examples are given. Moreover, we show that the obtained approximate solutions are valid for the whole solution domain. It is predicted that the energy balance method can be found widely applicable in engineering problems.
