摘要

The solution-mediated synthesis and single-crystal structure of H_3N(CH_2)_3·Zn(HPO_3)_2 are reported. This phase is built up from chains of vertex-linked ZnO_4 and HPO_3 building units crosslinked by 1,3-diammonium propane cations. The relationship of the title compound to known zinc phosphate phases is briefly discussed. Crystal data for H_3N(CH_2)_3NH_3·Zn(HPO_3)_2: ZnP_2O_6N_2C_3H_(14), M_r = 301.49, orthorhombic, Pbcm (No. 57), a = 8.6924 (4) A, b = 7.8926 (4) A, c = 16.6224 (8) A, V = 1140.4 (2) A~3, Z = 4, ρ_(calc) = 1.756 g/cm~3, μ = 24.4 cm~(-1), T = 298 (2) K, R = 0.025, R_w = 0.027 (calculated w_i).
