摘要

This paper remarks the importance of breathing as a fundamental function in the development of physiological and psychological processes that have an effect on the health level of the persons, for the reason that even of its evident importance this variable has received relative low attention or has been ignored in applied psychophysiology. Main characteristics of breathing are explained, as well as the importance and relationships with emotions, and with the physical and psychological health level of the persons. Also, the convenience of research the breathing habits and its correlations with the health level and life quality from a life style perspective are presented.
