摘要

It is well known that hyperlipidemia increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and the available drugs often have certain adverse side effects [1]. It is significance to develop safer and more effective lipid-lowering resource. High-fat diet (HF) contributes to oxidative stress in tissues, which may result in hyperlipidemia and cardiovascular diseases [2], But fortunately, antioxidant dietary supplementation is reported to reverse high-fat-induced oxidative damage in cardiovascular system [3-5]. Lepidogrammitis diymoglos-soides (Baker) Ching (LD) is traditionally used in China for the prevention of blood circulation stasis, hypertension, and rheumatoid arthritis [6]. Our pre-screening test showed that LD had good hydroxyl radical scavenging activity (the EC_(50) values of LD and vitamin E were 0.20+-0.03 and 0.14+-0.02 mg/ml).
