Late drug eluting stent thrombosis due to acemetacine: Type III Kounis syndrome: Kounis syndrome due to Acemetacine

Kounis syndrome is the concurrence of acute coronary syndrome with a hypersensitivity reaction [1]. Its type I and type II were well defined and nowadays type III of Kounis syndrome has been reported. Type I Kounis syndrome is the acute coronary syndrome with a hypersensitivity reaction with normal coronary arteries. Type II Kounis syndrome differs from type I Kounis syndrome by the presence of underlying coronary atherosclerosis. Type III Kounis syndrome is the concurrence of stent thrombosis of drug eluting stents (DES) with a hypersensitivity reaction [2]. In this report we want to present a late DES thrombosis following an allergic reaction to non-steroid antiinflammatory drug (NSAID).
