Transient ischemic attack (TIA) implies a high risk of stroke. Appropriate treatment, derived from knowing the etiology, can reduce its recurrence by up to 80-90% [3]. However, one third of the strokes remain undetermined after the studies are performed. Besides this, AF is the main cause of cardioembolic strokes, but it is frequently paroxysmal and difficult to detect, causing increased risk of stroke [1].
